Bread Machine White Bread

This recipe was submitted by the famous Deanna Ronco (I will soon have to post her strawberry jam recipe, it's is delicious!)....If the bread is as great as she is, it will be wonderful! I am going to make it ASAP.

White Bread for breadmaker (makes one 1-1/2 lb. loaf)
1-1/2 tsp. yeast
1 c. warm water
4 TBSP. sugar

Combine in bread pan, and let sit for 5 minutes to let yeast foam. Then add, in this order:
3 c. flour
1 egg
4 TBSP. butter (cut into each corner)
1 tsp. salt (don't let it touch the yeast because it will kill it)

For wheat bread, substitute half the white flour for wheat.

My Mom's Famous Marinated Pork Loin

Serves 5

1 Tbls. sesame oil
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 small onion, grated
2 tsp. Grated fresh ginger, or ¾ tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. Grated fresh lemon peel
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 pound whole pork tenderloin
¼ cup dry white wine
¼ cup honey
1 Tbls. Firmly packed brown sugar

In a small bowl, combine oil, onion, ginger, lemon peel, garlic and soy sauce. Stir to mix well. Set a side. Place Pork loin in a glass bowl. Pour soy mixture over pork and turn to coat evenly. Cover and marinate overnight in refrigerator.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Remove pork from marinade; drain well.
In a small bowl, combine wine, honey and brown sugar. Stir to mix well. Pour over pork, coating all sides of roast. Place in a shallow nonstick pan and cook 25 to 30 minutes, or until meat’s internal temperature reaches 170 degrees.
Remove from oven and allow meat to rest 5 minutes. Slice and serve.

Autumn Apple Salad

This is great for the upcoming apple season!

4 tart green apples (cored and chopped)
¼ cup blanched slivered almonds (toasted)
¼ cup dried cranberries
¼ cup chopped dried cherries
1 8oz. container vanilla yogurt
½ tsp. cinnamon

In medium bowl, stir together all ingredients until evenly coated.

Quick N' Easy Taco Soup

½ lb. ground beef (browned, drained)
½ onion sliced
28 oz. can stewed or diced tomatoes
15 oz. can kidney beans in liquid
1-2 cans whole corn with liquid
¼ pkg. taco seasoning
1 tsp. sugar

Combine all above ingredients, remembering NOT to drain canned items. Simmer 15-30 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips, sour cream, lettuce and guacamole.
